Are you Killing Your Pets Out of "LOVE"?

This in from my vet - Pet treats from the store - some have been recalled because of salmonella infections in dogs and cats. Most were those containing fish. He is very strongly against rawhides, hooves, treats with high salt content or sharp edges that can lacerate the stomach and intestines.

Food is Love?
If food is Love, then why is this,
That as we overfill the dish,
We fail to note our furry friend,
Looks like bloat will be his end.
He waddles to, He waddles fro,
How can it be we fail to know,
That all that "love" that he must cart,
Just speeds the day when he departs.
Perhaps the kidneys or the heart,
No matter which the body part,
You can be sure that one will give,
For fat is not a vote to live.
So use your eyes and common sense,
that's how you help good health commence.
Short their rations, not life span,
So that your Love's a healthy plan.
