Too close to see

Did you ever try and try to clean a spot off your glasses and it just wouldn’t go away?

I cleaned my glasses 3 times before I finally realized that the spot was actually a piece of lint on my eyelashes.

Isn’t that the way most of life is? Your solutions are so close to you that you cannot see them.

We blow our problems way out of proportion thinking we need a mega flash-of-light solution. We tend to think that winning the lottery or winning a month at a health spa or winning a new house is the only answer.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe the universe is trying to help you with that excess weight by temporarily slowing down your income? Maybe all you need is to give up that fast food and the sodas to loose a few pounds. That could be a money savings that could help pay a bill.

Maybe you wished you could stop your impulse spending. Being short on cash is a good way to stop impulse spending. Never carry your credit cards and that should really stop your impulse spending. Stop charging on the credit cards and put the money you used to spend on fast food and impulse spending on the credit card bill.

Take a few moments to stop and really think about that problem. Is the solution right in front of you or is the cause different than you assumed? Is the spot on your glasses or is it on your eyelashes.
