Warning Hand Sanitizers

Hand Sanitizers are hazardous to your health. Especially children.

It should be common knowledge that hand sanitizers only kill very weak germs and allow the
stronger ones to mutate and grow adding to the growing list of super germs.

The main ingredient in the gel sanitizers is alcohol. When a pre- schooler swallowed her
hand sanitizer instead of rubbing it on her hands, she became quite ill. An email started
circulating warning against the use of the sanitizers.

Last night on the local evening news, this story came up because local people were calling
the station in response to the email wanting to know if it was true. The station had found
the family in question and did an interview. The little girl is fine now. The day care has
removed all hand sanitizers from the school, saying the product is appropriate for adults
and older children but too dangerous for pre-schoolers and they are taking no chances.

Bottom line - if you have hand sanitizers in your purse, pocket or house, beware the
children and grand children. Use only when soap and water are not available. If small
children begin to exhibit the following symptoms, get them to a doctor. Staggering,
slurring speech, rapid breathing, extreme sleepiness, extreme excitability. Yes, the common
symptoms of drinking too much alcohol.

Next question, how many teenagers have just discovered a new cheap high. A very dangerous
high. How long before schools make hand sanitizers illegal?

I had a great vacation. It was wonderful seeing old friends and relatives. We camped out
in the mountains in New Mexico near Ruidoso. We had rain every day and hail twice. Cold
does not begin to describe how we felt. Still it was fun.

And we did use the hand sanitizers there - no running water, and only porta potties and out houses. I have a great picture of my daughter's feet in flip flops standing in hail.

Got home to chaos. My oldest daughter is packing up to move to Florida on the 17th of this
month. I am losing my babies as the grand children will of course go with her. One grandson is here, the other at a football camp. They will be going with their mother on the 17th. I will go from noisy crowded house to silence in just a few days.

Luckily there is so much to do that I do not have much time to brood about the children
leaving. On the other hand I do not have much time to do anything on the Internet.

I have so many things I want to share with you.

until next time smile
Sharon
